“Local ingredients only” is chef and owner Asaf Doktor’s mantra. And because of so, Dok has the reputation of being one of the best restaurants in Tel Aviv.

From the inital taste of the charred eggplant cream that accompanied the sourdough I knew this was going to be a mind-blowing meal. This thought was most certainly affirmed when the anchusa leaves wrapped lamb kebabs with fermented chili sauce came out on the table. Since practically the whole menu was ordered, everything consumed was absolutely too good for me to write about - otherwise you’d be here reading for hours. I’ll save you from drooling.
